The Difference

What is Swift wart therapy?

A modern way to treat plantar warts that works with your immune system, rather than burning or freezing the wart away.

Plantar warts are warts on the sole of the foot, caused by a virus. Because they sit under your body weight, they can be painful, and they often hide from the immune system — which is why some warts hang around for months or years despite freezing, acids and creams.

Swift delivers a short, precise burst of microwave energy through a small probe placed on the wart. The gentle heat helps your immune system recognise the wart virus, so your body can get to work clearing it. There is no cutting, no acid and no dressing to look after, and you can walk out straight afterwards.

Who is Swift for? Swift is a good option for plantar warts that have been slow to clear, warts that have come back, and people who would rather avoid repeated freezing or acid treatments. It is also suitable for children.

Not sure it’s a wart? Corns and calluses can look similar. Your podiatrist will confirm the diagnosis before recommending Swift.

Swift at a glance:
  • No cutting or acids — No dressings or aftercare to manage
  • No downtime — Walk out and keep playing sport
  • A short course — Usually 3 treatments, about 4 weeks apart
  • Suitable for children — Non-invasive and quick
  • Two clinics — Noosa and Maroochydore
Swift uses microwave energy, not laser or freezing — it helps your own immune system clear the wart.
Our Process

What to expect

A short course of quick treatments, with a review at the end.

When you book online, choose New Patient Swift Treatment for your first visit (40 minutes) and Swift Wart Treatment for follow-ups (20 minutes).

Assessment & first treatment

We confirm it’s a plantar wart, check Swift is right for you, and usually start treatment in the same visit.
2

Your treatment

The probe is applied to the wart for a few short bursts. It can sting for a few seconds, then you can walk out.
3

A short course

Most people have three treatments about four weeks apart, giving your immune system time to respond.
4

12-week review

We check the result 12 weeks after your last treatment and advise on next steps if needed.

FAQS

Swift Wart Therapy FAQs

How much does Swift wart treatment cost?

Your first visit — an initial assessment plus your first Swift treatment — is $325. Follow-up Swift treatments are $250 per session. Your podiatrist will confirm how many sessions they recommend before you start.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the wart. Most people need a course of three treatments about four weeks apart, followed by a review 12 weeks after the last one. Stubborn or clustered warts can need more. Your podiatrist will advise after assessing you.

What happens at the appointment?

Your podiatrist prepares the area and applies a small probe, which heats the wart to about 42–45°C (a few degrees warmer than a hot bath) for a short burst. You can walk out straight afterwards.

Does Swift hurt?

For a few seconds it can feel like a sharp injection or briefly touching something hot. Occasionally the area is a little sore afterwards, but it doesn’t stop normal activities.

Is Swift safe? Will it scar?

Yes. Microwave energy has been used clinically for more than 30 years, and Swift delivers a very low dose to a small, precise area. It is TGA approved and doesn’t cause serious tissue damage or scarring.

Do I need time off, dressings or aftercare?

No. There’s no downtime and no dressings — you can get straight back to your day, and you can keep playing sport.

Is Swift suitable for children?

Yes. It is non-invasive and works with the body’s own immune system, and children tend to clear warts faster and in fewer visits than adults.

How effective is Swift?

Results vary from person to person, and your podiatrist will talk you through realistic expectations at your appointment. Even when a wart doesn’t fully clear, treatment often leaves it smaller, shallower and less painful.

I’ve tried freezing, acids or creams. Can Swift help?

It may. Swift works differently: rather than destroying the wart from the outside, it helps your immune system recognise the wart virus so your body can clear it.

What if the wart comes back?

Book a review appointment and your podiatrist will advise on the next steps.

Do I need a referral, and can I claim on private health?

No referral is needed — you can book directly. Rebates depend on your health fund and level of extras cover, so check with your fund before your appointment.
